The Renewal Garden is a tribute to the shale ‘bings’ of West Lothian, huge spoil heaps left over from the shale oil mining industry. Designed to reflect the Scone Palace Garden Fair theme of ‘hope’, the garden shows the hope of renewal, with what seems to be waste becoming something new, beautiful, and important.
